The economy of the Gambia is one of the weakest in the world. The Gambia economy is predominantly Agriculture. The main exports are still peanut (Groundnut) and the peanut and peanut products such as peanut oil and animal feeds (depending on the weather condition)
With development fund, attempts are being made at improving the production method and stimulating the cultivation of other crops.
The main focus lies on the development of agriculture and the irrigation of the marshes around the Gambia River. The Gambia is a largely Muslim country. Around 90% of the population is Muslim about 10% of the population is a member of the Roman Catholic Church or Anglican Church. We live together in peace and harmony
