The country consist of a relatively narrow strip of land along the river Gambia. Is about 11250kmsquare long and only a few kilometer wide. It has a beautiful coastline and both beach and water look very inviting. The people are warm and welcoming. It is therefore called the smiling coast of West Africa <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>However many people who live here, especially in the interior of the country, often have no work and hardly anything or nothing to eat.
